The Royal château of Amboise

The Royal château of Amboise is an elegant Renaissance château, built on the site of an old fortress overlooking the Loire River and the medieval city of Amboise.

Erected in the 15th and 16th centuries, this Royal Château introduced the Italian taste in the Loire Valley. After your visit of the royal dwelling, furnished with an extraordinary collection of gothic and Renaissance furniture, you will have access to beautiful panoramic gardens, planted with Mediterranean species. The visit is completed by the St Hubert Chapel, grave of Leonardo Da Vinci since 1519.
